The PINK Carpet was Rolled Out…

…for a beautiful bride and her entourage as the photographer clicked away to capture the first moments of marital happiness surrounding the group. She was being doted upon by her besotted groom and her attendants were circling like lionesses as they were sure to protect her snowy white gown from the ground…

…for a weary, joyful father pushing a stroller with adorable twin girls. The little ones were baby babbling to the birds, to each other and Dad was soaking it into his weary bones – this is where hopes and dreams stem – in precious conversation with his daughters while there’s plenty of time.

…for an elderly couple strolling their way around, simply enjoying the air, the peace, each other. They were seasoned pros in conversation and comfort with each other.

…for the loons, the birds, the geese, the squirrels – the typical inhabitants. They frolicked around and observed all the visitors. They sang welcome songs as we all passed by their particular locations. It was obvious they were ever so happy to be out enjoying the day. Spring is finally here!

…for a young man reading ‘and we mourn not as those who have no hope’ from his iPhone to his weeping friend on a park bench – providing comfort to her during her hour of loss.

…for children in the park – playing with their parents and each other – so excited to be stretching their growing muscles on the playground equipment while it is warm outside. It’s a pleasant departure from the rainy, cool days this spring has offered.

…for ME…as I entered the park, spring was creating the masterpiece of the PINK carpet. The flowering crabs and apple trees were dropping their vibrant welcome on the footpath encouraging me to do the right thing and get into step with my exercise committment (once again). It was such a beautiful sight and it made me smile from the beginning to the very end. Thank you Lake Aquitaine for the continued panoply of blossoms and blooms seasonally delivered to encourage me as I enter.
