God Invented Twitter

This week I saw a local church sign asking the question – what would God say if He twittered? This has parked itself on my brain as an irritant. God invented Twitter. It’s actually called the Bible. The moment by moment guide to His thoughts.

Why on earth would we think we can ‘unpack’ (theological cool term for explaining things) what God would Twitter, when we already know what He would Twitter. His inspired Word tells us what He is thinking. We simply need to read it.

I’ve been working through a “Read The Bible in 90 Days” program. I’m getting a crash course in God’s thinking. It’s a wonderful ‘read’. The stories about life, love and serving God make me think its about today. Relevant and true.

So…what would God think if He twittered? He twittered John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes on Him will have everlasting life.” This is a comment we should be spreading through the world – in our daily walk, our words, our deeds.

He is God. He created the world. He gave us His Son. So, of course He Twitters – He invented it in His Holy Book.
