Celebrate (church) Family

What a day! Another service opportunity for the PRBC team as we hosted our 4th Annual Family Fall Picnic. The day was spectacular. The little coolness mixed with bright sunshine was the perfect mix to host this fun outdoor event.

This is the time of year when everyone comes ‘home’ to PRBC. We all travel during the summer, we rest, we break – and we miss one another – like a real family should. So a few years ago – one very energetic lady thought it would be a good idea to have a Homecoming/Community Picnic. A great idea continues- 4 years later.

At our church you will see the four corners (I know it is round, but you know what I mean) of the earth represented. That’s such an exciting part of homecoming Sunday. Many nationalities eating good old fashioned hotdogs playing picnic games is a sight to see. Lots of laughter, easy conversation and massive group hugs are the order of the day.

I think this is as close as we can get to Heaven – we are reuniting in joy with loved ones missed, but having left their individual shape imprint in our hearts. It all happens on Homecoming Sunday.

We have many hands who make the work of the day lighter, brighter. We all have a place. Ensuring each person is greeted with enthusiasm at PRBC – the little church that loves God and loves people.

One of this year’s higlights was the cupcake eating contest. Can you say ‘awesome’?? Rainbow cupcakes, flower pot cupcakes, ice cream cone cupcakes, red velvet, gluten free, chocolate, DELICIOUS. Each and every one scrumptious. What an outstanding idea. Judges were seriously considering their choices and they were challenged to their sugary outer limits.

Service with a smile…greeting with a smile…Worshiping in Spirit and in Truth – that’s our beloved PRBC…the little bit of Heaven located in Clarkson (Mississauga) http://www.parkroyalbible.com
