90 Days of Change Day 8 August 22, 2010

It struck me this afternoon – 82 days left – what has really changed? I am writing this one on the fly to see what comes to my mind.

The most significant change is the reduction in TV watching and the increase in blogging. I see this as a positive shift. My brain actually has to engage when blogging. My brain disengages when TV watching. Creativity is evoked, and memory is stretched. This has to be a good thing.

More time is made for Bible reading. I am on the 90 Day Read your Bible Plan. I am close to being on track, not perfect. It is really interesting to do. This again is a brain challenge – requiring focus and dedication. Another positive change! This is truly encouraging to my soul as I draw closer to God through His written Word.

I am faithful to my walking plan. My goal is five times per week minimum (for now). Every day whether in the morning or in the evening, I make tracks for one hour. It is good for my body and my brain as I solve the world’s problems, people watch and take in the view from Lake Aquitaine.

Looking at these things alone, I am stoked! I am so thankful for the changes and pray for strength to sustain them. Change takes focus and planning. Lesson learn(ing).
